Indosuez Wealth Management announces two new senior appointments in Hong Kong SAR
Singapore / Hong Kong, 18 November 2020 - Indosuez Wealth Management in Asia (“Indosuez”), the global wealth management brand of Crédit Agricole Group, has announced two new senior appointments in its Hong Kong SAR Branch. They are Michael van Ommeren and Allan Dampier who bring with them deep experience in international financial services and understanding of Asia where Indosuez has a strong presence.
Michael van Ommeren has been appointed Chief Operating Officer for Indosuez’s Hong Kong SAR Branch. Reporting to Olivier Livenais, Chief Executive Officer of Indosuez’s Hong Kong SAR Branch, he is responsible for enhancing the bank’s core functional and economic efficiency and driving its growth strategy in the region. Having spent almost two decades in the banking and financial services industry, with the better part of it in Asia, he has garnered extensive expertise with regulatory authorities in Hong Kong SAR, Singapore and China.
Michael’s expertise of the regulatory environments in various Asian and European jurisdictions makes him effective across multi-financial markets. Among his previous experiences was his role as Chief Operating and Digital Officer of ABN AMRO Bank, Hong Kong SAR and Shanghai where he had bottom line responsibility for technology, operations, change management and innovation, information security and business continuity.
Indosuez has also appointed Allan Dampier as the new Head of AML in Hong Kong SAR branch. Allan leads the Anti Money Laundering efforts to safeguard the bank from financial crimes. Allan took up his appointment end July 2020, and reports to Chelsea Tong, Head of Compliance and Central Files in Hong Kong SAR.
With more than 30 years of experience, Allan has a strong track record in overseeing AML in the financial services industry. Prior to his appointment at Indosuez, he was with HSBC Asia Private Banking where he was Head of Hong Kong Financial Crime Compliance & Asia Regional Business Governance.
