10. Compliance Charter of the Crédit Agricole group
From its inception, Crédit Agricole's approach has been one of mutual benefit: building relationships of trust with its clients and partners founded on mutual respect and loyalty. In this way, it fosters its development with a long-term perspective.
Each member works with a view to serving the client. This involves listening to clients' needs in order to meet their expectations as closely as possible, while maintaining the necessary vigilance required in respect of the group's activities.
Each client receives the same consideration and can count on receiving fair information, clear explanations and good faith in the advice they receive.
All directors and employees must adhere to the same duty of discretion, refraining from unduly distributing or using the confidential information at their disposal for their own benefit or on another person's behalf. Their work is not guided by personal interests or considerations.
The companies that make up the Crédit Agricole group act for the common good, in accordance with their decentralised organisational structure and specific corporate purpose. An approach of mutual assistance and collective action is adopted by each company and each member of staff.
The Crédit Agricole group strives to maintain a clear communication policy with regard to its employees, shareholders and clients. Each employee bears a sense of responsibility for the group's reputation and image.
Each employee also has a duty of knowledge of the regulations applicable to their activity, which they must comply with responsibly. Where necessary, they can draw on expert advice within the group.
A key objective of the Crédit Agricole group is the career development of all its members. This implies appropriate management of common resources and methods.
While it is a major player in an increasingly global financial sector, Crédit Agricole remains anchored in fulfilling its local commitments. The group's executive managers fully assume this twin responsibility.
