Fraud alert, be vigilant : learn more

Over the past few weeks, there has been an increase in fraudulent investment proposals designed to defraud investors by using the name, address, logo and/or authorisation number of authorised players, as well as the names of employees of these players (including Indosuez).

Fraudsters may also use legitimate companies or other financial institutions, which are also victims of their scam, to offer you fraudulent products.

Indosuez calls for vigilance and reminds you that if you are an Indosuez client, you should contact your banker immediately.


More generally, we invite you to follow the AMF's recommendations below:

  1. Contact the company your contact claims to be from to check that the contact is indeed from that company, and ask to speak to the contact in question. To do this, look up the company's contact details (telephone, e-mail and postal address) on its official website using a search engine (do not rely on any false links in the scammers' e-mails or contact details given verbally);
  2. Don't take at face value any information given by someone you speak to on the phone. They may not be who you think they are and may have impersonated a genuine employee;
  3. Do not respond to unsolicited telephone calls;
  4. Do not reply to e-mails offering products or requesting personal or banking information unless you have been asked to do so and have formally confirmed the identity of the person you are speaking to (see above), and do not pass them on to sites whose reliability you cannot vouch for.

In addition, the AMF publishes on its website:

  1. blacklist of unauthorised companies and sites (please note that a site or company not included in this list is not a guarantee of the reliability of that company or site) ; ;
  2. As well as the white list of authorised financial intermediaries ;


Finally, if you think you have been the victim of a scam or fraud:

  1. Notify all financial institutions (banks, insurers, etc.) of which you are a client as soon as possible;
  2. File a complaint at
  3. Contact INFO ESCROQUERIES on 0 805 805 817 (free call Monday to Friday, 9am to 6.30pm) and send a report to
  4. Contact the Banque de France to find out whether any incidents have been reported to the Central Cheque Register (FCC) or the Consumer Credit Repayment Incidents Register (FICP);
  5. Consult the bank account file (FICOBA) to find out whether any accounts have been opened in your name by the fraudster. To do this, write to us, enclosing a copy of your identity document, at:

Remain vigilant, fraudsters can contact you after a first scam and claim to be a lawyer, legal expert, etc., who has identified your funds and ask you for a new fraudulent payment to recover them.
