CA Indosuez (Switzerland) SA received the Fair-ON-Pay+ certification as fair employer

November 25, 2020

Geneva, 25 November 2020 - CA Indosuez (Switzerland) SA received the "Fair-ON-Pay+" certification, which attests to the respect for equal pay between women and men within our Bank, in accordance with the federal directives in force. With this certification, the bank joins the small group of Swiss private banks meeting the label’s requirements certified by SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance), following the revision of the Gender Equality Act (GEA) in July 2020.

This recognition comes along a series of actions carried out by the Bank to improve of gender diversity as part of Indosuez Group’s Crescendo 2022 corporate project. This includes the adoption of an Equal Opportunities Charter giving concrete expression to the Bank’s commitment to promoting diversity within the Group and preventing all forms of discrimination. In line with the Group's corporate project, compensation, regardless of hiring at the beginning or throughout the employee's career, is set based on objective criteria such as the levels of qualification and experience, the responsibilities entrusted, contribution to results, as well as the benchmarks of the local employment market and in line with the Group’s remuneration policy.

In order to ensure fair treatment over time, the salary structure and any differences between men and women in equal positions and skill levels are analysed annually, with the Group committing to enforce any amendments that may be necessary.

Commenting on the certification, Jean-François Deroche, CEO of CA Indosuez (Switzerland) SA, said: "With this important step forward, Indosuez confirms its commitment to the principle of fair remuneration, setting gender equality at the heart of its development. Indeed, as a leader of collective intelligence and a recognised source of performance, gender diversity is now the subject of a dedicated action plan within our bank".

Aline Kleinfercher, Head of Human Resources at CA Indosuez (Switzerland) SA, commented: "We are very proud to receive the Fair-ON-Pay+ certification. It is the culmination of significant work carried out in recent years to build a solid, competitive remuneration model that is focused on skills and performance while ensuring equal pay for equal work".

Among the initiatives of Indosuez’s global action plan is the “Springboard programme’’, a project dedicated to female employees at the beginning of their careers and to enable them to work on their positioning and leadership. Offering women and men the same development opportunities means implementing concrete measures to promote real equality in terms of orientation, training, recruitment, working conditions, career development, promotion and remuneration.

About the Fair-ON-Pay analysis

The HR consultancy firm Comp-On applied the Fair-ON-Pay analysis to CA Indosuez (Switzerland) SA, in accordance with the SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance) certification standard, and processed the remuneration data of 594 employees. As a reminder, the right to equal pay for work of equal value in enterprises has been enshrined in the Federal Constitution for more than 30 years. However, since July 2020, following the revision of the Gender Equality Act (GEA), companies with more than 100 employees in Switzerland must carry out an analysis of their situation in this respect, validate it externally and communicate the results.
