The Indosuez Foundation in Switzerland celebrates 10 years of commitment

May 23, 2022

Geneva, 23 May 2022 - The Indosuez Foundation in Switzerland celebrates 10 years of commitment to environmental protection and economic and social development.
Since 2012, Indosuez Wealth Management in Switzerland has been translating its values ??into civic actions and contributing to the roll-out of the Crédit Agricole group's Societal Project through its corporate foundation. Thanks to financial support and the commitment of the bank's employees, the Indosuez Foundation in Switzerland has financed over the past 10 years, to the amount of CHF 2,500,000, more than 30 projects in favour of the protection of the environment and economic and social development in the world.

Solidarity initiatives to concretely improve the daily lives of local communities

To be fully in line with Indosuez's raison d'être: "Working every day in the interest of our customers and society", the Indosuez Foundation in Switzerland is committed to supporting actions on the ground over two to three years. Those actions include environmental projects with a strong economic and social impact in favour of vulnerable local communities in Switzerland and around the world.

Thanks to an endowment from Indosuez of nearly CHF 2,500,000 since 2012, more than 30 projects have been carried out in 16 countries (access to water and renewable energy sources, reforestation, conservation and sustainable management of forests, preservation of soil and biodiversity). Involved in the identification and evaluation of projects with global organisations (WWF, IUCN) but also small NGOs, the bank's employees also pay particular attention to initiatives promoting social entrepreneurship and the emancipation of women and young people.

With its corporate volunteering programme at the national level (Citizen Days), the Foundation also offers each year to the employees of the Indosuez group in Switzerland (Indosuez and Azqore) the possibility of promoting their multidisciplinary skills within the framework of local environmental or social projects. For two weeks, a day is thus offered to all employees who wish to contribute to projects organised by local associations including Caritas Genève et Caritas Vaud, le Parc naturel régional Jura vaudois, l’Association pour la Sauvegarde du Léman, J’aime ma Planète or even Carrefour-Rue.

A Societal Project as a catalyst for transformation both professionally and personally

The action of the Indosuez Foundation in Switzerland is part of the collective mobilisation of the Crédit Agricole group for its Societal Project. This project aimed at taking action for the climate and the transition to a low-carbon economy, strengthening cohesion and social inclusion and finally making agricultural and agri-food transitions a success. The Indosuez Foundation brings additional legitimacy and know-how to the bank in the context of supporting its customers who wish to strengthen their societal impact.

For 10 years, it has been offering wonderful encounters with people who put their energy and experiences at the service of worthy environmental and societal causes. It nourishes the eyes of employees on the meaning of their profession and their commitment and thus acts as a catalyst for transformation both professionally and personally. Moreover, it happens all too often that employees register their voluntary work over the long term with the associations carrying out the projects.
