Indosuez Wealth Management announces appointments to its Management Committee
Paris, 14 December 2022 - Indosuez Wealth Management announces three appointments to its Management Committee, with Olivier Chatain appointed Head of Strategy, Legal, and Transformation.
Olivier Carcy and Marc-Andre Poirier are appointed CEOs for Europe and Switzerland respectively.
Olivier Chatain is appointed Head of Strategy, Legal and Transformation of Indosuez Wealth Management as of 1st December 2022. He oversees the strategy of Indosuez group as well as the Legal and General Secretary business lines. Based in Paris, Olivier Chatain reports to Jacques Prost, Chief Executive Officer of Indosuez Wealth Management, and will continue to serve as a member of the Management Committee.
Olivier Carcy is appointed Chief Executive Officer of Indosuez Wealth Management in Europe (CA Indosuez Wealth (Europe)) and Senior Country Officer for the Crédit Agricole group in Luxembourg as of 1st December 2022. He succeeds Olivier Chatain. Olivier Carcy is responsible for the management and development of the Wealth Management business in Europe (excluding France), in particular through Indosuez' locations in Belgium, Spain and Italy. Olivier Carcy is based in Luxembourg and reports to Jacques Prost, Chief Executive Officer of Indosuez Wealth Management, and joins the Management Committee.
Marc-André Poirier is appointed Chief Executive Officer of Indosuez Wealth Management in Switzerland (CA Indosuez (Switzerland) SA) and Senior Country Officer for the Crédit Agricole group in Switzerland as of 1st December 2022. He is responsible for the management and development of the wealth management business in Switzerland, Asia and the Middle East. He is also responsible for the commercial banking and transactional commodity finance businesses in Switzerland. Based in Geneva, Marc-André Poirier reports to Jacques Prost, Chief Executive Officer of Indosuez Wealth Management, and joins the Management Committee.
Biographies
Olivier Chatain began his career at Crédit du Nord in 1992 as Wealth Planner. He joined the Crédit Agricole group in 1997 as Account Manager at Crédit Agricole Indosuez. In 1999, he became Head of Private Clients for the Ile-de-France region at Banque de Gestion Privée Indosuez (BGPI), then Head of Wealth Management. In 2008, Olivier Chatain was appointed Marketing Director. In 2009, he moved on to Crédit Agricole Luxembourg as Head of Private Banking and member of the Management Committee. In 2014, he was appointed Head of Wealth Management for Europe. In 2015, he was named Managing Director, CEO of Crédit Agricole
Luxembourg and Senior Country Officer. Olivier Chatain is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Gestion de Paris and holds a DESS postgraduate degree in Wealth Management.
Olivier Carcy began his career in Paris in Asset Management within BNP Paribas, Euronext and Rothschild. In 1996, he joined the Crédit Agricole group within the structured finance business line in Paris, Singapore and Jakarta. In 2000, he joined Indosuez in Switzerland where he was responsible for setting up and developing the Private Equity fund platform, making Indosuez one of the very first private banks to incorporate this specific asset class. In 2012, he became Global Head of Private Markets for Indosuez group. In 2016, he was named Conducting Officer of CA Indosuez Wealth (Asset Management) SA. Olivier Carcy has been Global Head of Indosuez’s Asset Management line since 2019. Olivier Carcy is a graduate of NEOMA Business School (France) and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Marc-André Poirier began his career in 1988 at Société Générale in Tokyo, where he worked in fixed income markets. In 1990, he transferred to New York to expand the bank’s bond and derivatives business. From 1994 to 1996, he was based in Hong Kong, where he held a similar position covering the Asia region. Returning to New York, he was Deputy Head of Markets between 1996 and 1998. In 1998, he was seconded to the Equities division of SG Cowen Securities. From 1999 to 2002, he was CEO of SG Securities in South Korea, before becoming China Country Manager for Société Générale (2002-2007). He joined the Crédit Agricole group in 2007 as Senior Country Officer for Credit Agricole CIB Japan. In September 2011 he was appointed Senior Regional Officer for Asia-Pacific. From January 2016 to December 2022, Marc-Andre Poirier was Senior Regional Officer for the Americas and Senior Country Officer for the United States of Crédit Agricole CIB. Marc-André Poirier holds a degree in Japanese languages from the National Institute of Oriental languages and Civilisations (INALCO) and an MBA from HEC business school Paris. He graduated from the Corporate Director Program (CDC) at Harvard Business School.
